McMichael describes fatally shooting Arbery

McMichael said he was at home with family on Feb. 23 when his father came into the room and told him the man they believed had been breaking into houses in their neighborhood was back.
McMichael grabbed his shotgun and got into his truck with his father, Gregory, in the passenger seat. Although they didn't know Arbery's name at the time, they were looking for him.
When McMichael caught up with Arbery, he said he drove beside him and asked him to "please stop" but that Arbery didn't stop or speak to him.
At one point, McMichael said, he told Arbery the police were coming because he believed his father had called them, which he said caused Arbery to run off.
With his father in the the truck, McMichael eventually parked. That's when he saw Arbery running toward him, and McMichael said he raised his shotgun to deter Arbery, who ran toward the other side of the truck.
McMichael said Arbery then started to run back toward the truck and, worried that Arbery was going to harm his father, McMichael ran toward him. That's when the two began to fight.
"He had my gun. He struck me," McMichael said, choking up as he described the shooting. "It was obvious that he was attacking me, that if he would've got the shotgun from me, then it was a life or death situation. And I'm gonna have to stop him from doing this, so I shot."
McMichael said he felt that Arbery was overpowering him and he had to use lethal force.

Any normal person, when told by the people in the pickup to "Stop or I'll blow your f*cking head off" would quite rightly fear for their life. On the stand McMichal confirmed that is what his father said to Arbery.
Show a little respect , black to white, whites to black. No need aggro , no need act suspicious . Just be normal and neighborly and none of that would have ever happened
An odd request since had Arbery been white the McMichael's would not have looked twice at him.
All of these incidents that become life and death m start with someone defying police orders , or being nuts ,when they should just be calm and chill.
Arbery was not defying police orders. He was faced with two hostile individuals, both armed, both threatening his life. He did what any sane person would have done. He fought back, literally fought for his life.
Yet he didn't rob it.
Arbery went there multiple times, all on film, and never left with anything. Perhaps, he was really curious in the building process. But, other people on video took things.
The owner of the property in question said on the stand that he had several people on video going through the construction site. He reported nothing stolen and never called the police to report any thefts.
“Any normal person , when asked by the people in the pickup , in broad daylight , to stop for a moment , would have stopped for a moment.”
A black kid walking, jogging, or whatever is approached by a truckload of toothless, inbred, banjo playing hicks (with a combined IQ of 25) who are brandishing a shotgun, and you think the kid should stop?
What the McRetards should have done was follow, observe, and wait for the police to make contact.
Aubrey wasn't going to grab the gun. He in fact had grabbed the shotgun, and the two struggled with it on camera. He wouldn't have been shot if he'd kept his pea-pickin' hands off the shotgun. Nobody in the media has bothered to wonder what Aubrey was going to do with that shotgun once he got ahold of it. But of course, that doesn't fit the narrative.

Whatever happened prior to that is moot. I don’t care if the pickup had a Confederate glad and was blasting Dixie. You try to wrestle a gun away from somebody you are an aggressor. If the “runner” had just stayed peaceful he’d be alive.
Maybe he kept going back to see if anything of value had been left there since the last time he'd trespassed.
There are videos of him walking through the house with expensive tools in plain sight. Yet nothing was ever stolen.
Is there evidence Ahmaud Arbery was actually a burgler? If he is an innocent jogger, and a guy jumps out of a truck with a gun, Arbery has a right to self-defense. This case doesn’t look as obvious as Rittenhouse.
The defendants are going to be convicted.
Nothing like what happened in the Rittenhouse case.
If you try to stop a person at gunpoint then you're the aggressor. If you threaten to blow his f*cking head off if he doesn't stop then you are the aggressor. If you initiate a conflict you can't claim self-defense. In going for the gun the Arbery's claim to self defense is far more realistic than McMichael's is.
Is there any doubt that these guys are going down considering the current social and political climate? Everything I’ve seen suggests that they injected themselves into a confrontation while conducting their wanna be cop neighborhood watch.
I’m really asking if any of you think she will get off?

Carberry was trying to yank the shotgun out if McMicael’s hands .
If that’s not ‘ threatening ‘ I don’t know what is.
Of course he shot him.

It differs from the Rittenhouse case. Who was being chased by whom?

If Kyle Rittenhouse had shot three black guys given the political climate, he would definitely would have been convicted even if it were the same set of circumstances. Good thing he missed the skateboard guy trying to bash his head in.
If these guys had chased down a White guy with a shotgun who then tried to take it from one of them and got shot, there wouldn’t even be a trial. No one would care.
Not true. If someone drives up to me gets out and points their gun at me. I’m gonna do whatever it takes to not get shot by that guy!
If unarmed, I’ll try and wrest the gun from him, if armed, I’ll pull my gun and fight back.
Pointing a gun at someone says “I intend to kill you,” and Aubrey wss totally justified in trying to stop those two yahoo’s.
Like Zimmerman but in cars?
