I’m wondering if she’s getting that unearned distinction as a booby prize before they kick her to the curb.

When I had my first one I was kept conscious. The scope doctor said he was just gonna give me something to take the edge off. While I could feel something it was very mild and after he said I was clean as a whistle.

And there is always the risk of the scope puncturing the colon. Doubt this decrepit old guy would make it through emergency surgery.
I had last one in May. I’m in “high risk” category, ie my dad had colon cancer. Doc wants another in 5 years when I’m 85. He’s always found a crop of polyps in me.
