If a Christian family adopts an orphan from another Christian family in the same community, who is going to “regulate” them?

The home study alone requires all sorts of jumping through hoops.

Imagine that … state-regulated “home study” about raising children. Is there a similar home study program that teaches people how to take a dump?

If a Christian family adopts an orphan from another Christian family in the same community, who is going to “regulate” them?

Adoption is a legal term. If you are talking about being a step-father or step-mother that's something different. If you want legal say over the child's medical treatment, how he is educated, even for a Baptism, crossing international boundaries, etc., having legal custody is more than just a convenience. We have adopted three children, none subsidized.
