What I don’t get is since each side can’t stand and doesn’t want to live with other why isn’t there a stronger push by both side for an amicable divorce?

Because one side just wants to go their own way and the other side wants them to do things their way or die.

Why do you think most wars happen?

It is not over land or resources. Not really. In the end it is about being able to force people to do things your way.

And if they don't want to, all the better.

Humans can be sick freaks.
