As you all know I've been tracking this case for a long time. I am a federal employee and as such I have a lot of interest in Liberty Counsel's case for the military, federal employees and contractors.
Unfortunately there isn't much to report. A minute entry was indicated on this website:
but unfortunately unless you have an account nothing can be downloaded. However I was able to get a screenshot before the pay window came up and the only thing the document says was this:
PROCEEDINGS: Preliminary Injunction
All parties present and identified for the record.
Plaintiff (Daniel Schmid) makes oral argument regarding (Doc.2) Preliminary Injunction.
Defense (Amy Powell) makes oral argument regarding (Doc.2) Preliminary Injunction.
Plaintiff (Daniel Schmid) gives rebuttal argument.
Court takes the Preliminary Injunction under advisement and will issue an order accordingly.
That's it. I'm hoping that Liberty Counsel would post an update but so far zilch. So I'm afraid that unless more happened than just presenting oral arguments we're still hanging in the wind.
I put this out there hoping that someone may have better or more up-to-date news than me.
God bless to you all. Keep praying!
There isn't much to report, unless someone else has their finger on the pulse of things and can provide better information.
Thanks for posting an update. What keyword is a good one to find these threads besides COVID? (if any)
Can I be added to the ping list? My son was given his date of separation today. The company he works for contracts with the government. He asked for a religious exemption in writing. Was not even considered.
It’s hit and miss really. The case # helps, but only if the information isn’t behind a paywall, like this one is.
I got you added. I’m sorry to hear about your son. I fear I may be joining him on the unemployment line if these cases don’t get decided in our favor.
Please add me to the list as well.
I was looking for news the whole day and could find nothing. This is an emergency and here we sit waiting on Judges to make a decision that affects millions of lives. It is so frustrating.
I had to turn in my “questionnaire” justifying my reasons for asking for a religious exemption today. My contract company says they are waiting on guidance from the DoD. I fully expect to be denied. Have worked throughout the pandemic, wearing a mask, sanitizing, covering when others had to quarantine. Yet, they will send me packing without a second thought as long as they get to keep their federal contracts.
Ultimately, this whole thing is an effort to purge patriots from working in and for the government. It’s also designed to impoverish us.
Thanks, I’ll keep my eyes open then.
If I'm sacked, then I'll take whatever I can get out of my TSP, my last paycheck, and probably make a move to a friendly part of the country where I still might be able to find work.
Appreciate that, thanks.
This seems grossly unreported. It is important to me.
I don’t have much at work. Not even enough to fill a box. I would cash in my built up leave and work up until I’m axed. I have TSP as well. We’d likely have to sell up and move too. I had hoped to hang in for a few more years. Too young to retire quite yet. I was medically retired from the military 5 years ago and landed this job and hoped to stay through my full retirement age. Thanks to Biden voters/questionable election results, here I am.
I’m of two minds on this. I can sell up and move to a more friendly place. OR, I can help bring it all down by signing up for every benefit and program I can get my hands on. After working for over 40 years, I’m tired of pulling the wagon. Then perhaps, we can find a way to rebuild.
Thank for the update. It is coming down to crunch time for e and many others. I am fortunate to be eligible for an immediate retirement but have not started that process yet. Still in a holding pattern waiting on whatever the courts have to say. I submitted a religious exemption request but as far as I know no clear direction has been sent to the EEO folks yet.
I think the senior Navy leadership is expecting the courts to put the brakes on, what else explains the delay and lack of information.
I hope you are right. That would explain a great many things.
Navy Seal 1 v. Biden Update: The preliminary hearing in Tampa lasted about six hours. The judge asked many good questions, and was very interested in the details of the case. There was not a decision yesterday, but we expect one soon, possibly later this week. We felt the prayers, and ask you to keep praying as we await the initial result.
Follow up to earlier reply. When I was at lunch today, I was told that over half of our security forces squadron refuses to take the vaccinations, which means if they are fired then security on the base will be greatly compromised.
Sounds like the vaxxed numbers being put out publicly are ... inaccurate.
