WorldPride 2025 will take place in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, which will be the first time a WorldPride will be held in an East Asian country. Kaohsiung Pride beat out Washington, D.C.’s Capital Pride Alliance to host the event.

Today’s decision came after more than 300 member organizations from around the world voted during InterPride’s 2021 general meeting, which was held virtually this week. InterPride is the organization behind WorldPride. The meeting featured performances by nonbinary actor and musician Kat Cunning.

The ironic thing is that Communist China has no patience for the gender politics of western countries, even though the social justice junk is a product of Communist infiltration. It seems that being a member of one cult immunizes you from other cults.

Homophobic rant? This is a conservative website with a large Christian membership whom hold to the truth of Scripture.

As such, Romans 1 is our understanding about homosexuality: a judgment in which God gives up a person over to a reprobate mind to debase themselves due to their exchanging the truth about God with a lie.

Secondly, a phobia by definition denotes having an irrational fear of something simple, and I assure you we are not afraid of calling homosexuality out for what it is, and that is very rational.

Christianity has never had much impact in Taiwan. Anyone know why? Lots of converts in China, Korea, Singapore even in eras where the church was oppressed. In free Taiwan missionary work hasn’t done much.

That’s a fascinating question and one I’ve wondered about in regard to certain other Asian cultures, especially where Christianity is not now actively suppressed.

I once spoke about this to a Japanese woman who was in the process at our parish of becoming a Catholic. She was of the understanding that (in Japan, at least), it does not occur to most people to even think about converting to another religion other than what they were born into (in her case, Shintoism). Even if one is not devoutly following the religion of their birth, it is tied so much into both your larger culture and family tradition that it is literally a part of you. You may as well think about changing your race and your sex (even though modern Western culture and those influenced by it are crazy enough to think those things).

Do you see how ridiculous a parade is for who you have sex with? Do we have heterosexual parades in which we march for applause from others for how and who we have sex with?

The idea is a sick joke.

*Taiwan needs to refuse this “honor”* Bull excrement.

*I assure you we are not afraid of calling homosexuality out for what it is, and that is very rational.* Not anymore.

*I think we’re starting to understand your dirty secret...* Grow up.

Might as well have it in Peking, as both Taipei and Peking will be part of China by then, if not much sooner.

“What’s most disappointing here is the homophobic rants on this site.”

Maybe if your friends stayed out of our classrooms you’d find up a bit more tolerant.

Interesting comments. My conversations with Japanese folk I’ve found that their true religion is Japanese nationalism. Deep down most Japanese believe themselves to be the true Chosen People of the world.

I wouldn’t think this would apply to Taiwan which has a conflicted mix of Taiwanese pride but also Chinese culture.
