I am basing my opinion my opinion on the the opinions of pretty much every single lawyer who has observed and commented on the trial.

Here is something I noticed early in today’s proceedings.

The defense started questioning the expert witness.

Then the prosecutor objected.

Then the jury was sent to a back room.

Then the prosecutor complained that he had not received until last yesterday the content of what the expert witness would say.

So why didn’t the prosecutor complain before the jury was brought out?

Was the prosecutor trying to impress the jury that when he objects something big is being discussed???????

I have a very different perspective. Giving Kyle an ‘atta-boy’ in front of the jury would be very bad optics.

It would imply that Kyle had followed precisely the directions given to him by his attorneys.

The lawyers can not argue points of law in front of the jury.

If the judge was smart he would have declared a mistrial due to DA misconduct and dismissed the casewith prejudice. That would have let the jurors off the hook jurors, and perform justice for Kyle. The whole trial and charges are a joke. How could anyone see the video and not see self defense?

Culture matters. Location matters. We wouldn’t even be watching a trial if the shootings had happened in Oklahoma. Then again, there wouldn’t have been a riot, either.

I expect her testimony is going to be highly helpful to Kyle. She doesn’t look like she would favor the DA. She’s pretty businesslike. She’s not going to like that he just scolded her for talking when he was talking.
