If the judge was smart he would have declared a mistrial due to DA misconduct and dismissed the casewith prejudice. That would have let the jurors off the hook jurors, and perform justice for Kyle. The whole trial and charges are a joke. How could anyone see the video and not see self defense?

I’m certain those thoughts have crossed the judge’s mind. But then all the invective gets aimed at him and his family and the end of his career. What prevents him from dismissing with prejudice is a lack of courage.
