World leaders are currently meeting at the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, also known as COP26, in Glasgow, Scotland to review the progress that has been made since the 2015 Paris Climate Accords and negotiate new, more ambitious goals for the future. On Wednesday, six major automakers—including Ford, General Motors, and Mercedes-Benz—and 30 national governments signed a pledge to stop sales of new gas and diesel vehicles by 2040 globally, and by 2035 in “leading markets.” However, the governments of three of the most significant car markets—the United States, China, and Japan—refrained from joining the pledge, as did major automakers such as Toyota, Volkswagen, and Nissan-Renault.

> What fools <

It could be just smoke and mirrors to keep the Greta Thunbergs of the world quiet. So Ford pledges to end gas car sales by 2040. The Ford executives who made that pledge will probably be retired or dead by 2040. So they can say whatever they like now.

And suppose Ford “accidentally” misses that 2040 deadline. So what? What’s our gal Greta gonna do, besides make more frowny faces?

You can find CVPIs that were assigned to ranking officers and didn’t accumulate a lot of miles or abuse. Unfortunately in Bidenville, everything is spiking in price.

My only worry about Greta is that Sweden might decide to deport her to the USA.

I mean from Ford, Mercedes, etc. They say they won’t sell a gas powered car om 2040. Everyone should stop buying their gas cars today.

how are they planning on charging all those batteries?

By magic, of course. 😊😀🤗 What will they do with all the toxic, worn out batteries?

Only one company “successfully” made the transition from manufacturing wagons to manufacturing cars. Studebaker. And they didn’t last too long afterwards. But you have to give them credit for having the foresight and savvy to see the writing on the wall and making the plunge.

Forget charging... how are they going to make all those batteries! Take a step back and attain a 1000’ view of the minerals, neccessary materials and applicable mfg processes involved. Now, do you think any of that will can be accomplished within the US, currently, much less if their greeny weenie mentalities pave the way in the coming future?

If Norway could deport a Swede, Greta would be at the top of the list.
