Biden approval drops to 38% in USA TODAY poll
A year before the 2022 midterm elections, Republicans hold a clear lead on the congressional ballot as Joe Biden’s approval rating sinks to a new low of 38%. A USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll, taken Wednesday through Friday, found that Biden’s support has cratered among independent voters.
Among the findings:
Nearly half of those surveyed, 46%, say Biden has done a worse job as president than they expected, including 16% of those who voted for him. Independents, by (44-6), say he’s done worse than they expected.
64 percent say they don’t want Biden to run for a second term in 2024. That includes 28% of Democrats.
Opposition to Trump running for another term in 2024 stands at 58%, including 24% of Republicans.
Vice President Kamala Harris’ approval rating is 28% – even worse than Biden’s.
If the election were today, those surveyed say, they would vote for their Republican congressional candidate over the Democratic one by 46%-38%. That outcome would make it even harder for Biden to pass legislation – and open the door to aggressive Republican oversight of his administration.
My sense is we crossed into the "inevitable" 50 or more years ago. Feds are too big to control, even it they wanted to and they don't want to.
Trump was always a reprive. A welcome one to be sure.

I didn’t fall for it but to be honest I don’t think anyone expected what has happened except maybe the ones that planned it.
Even THEY didn’t expect the amount of ‘blowback’ they have gotten.
Remember, they are ‘TRUE BELIEVERS’ in The Revolution, and as such expect everyone to absolutely LOVE everything they do ‘for the people’. Anyone else is to be ignored or executed if possible.....................

Only if the Republicans undo the damage when it power. The major reason we are at this point in the unraveling of the Republic is Republicans in Congress and the executive branch have not even tried to roll back leftist gains when in power. Look at the George W. Bush administration. Republicans in control of Congress squandered a balanced budget by going on an “earmark” spending spree to benefit donors and Bush would not veto a bill.
Trump tried to roll back regulations and encouraged Congress to act on other issues such as repealing Obamacare. Ryan and McConnell refused to do anything to roll back the welfare state.
Why would anyone think things will be different if Republicans capture the House and the Senate? How many far left Constitution hating judges will they impeach? How many social programs and do nothing federal agencies will they defund? Will they defund planned parenthood? Will they implement true baseline budgeting instead of running a budget process with a 7% inflation rate built in? Will they fund the border wall? Will they get the federal government out of the student loan business? Will they defund the non infrastructure social spending and pork in the recently passed infrastructure bill? If not, it does not matter if the Democrats hang themselves.
Remember when Bush won in 2000 and had a 50-50 Senate? McConnell shared power with the left.
Notice that they did not return the favor.
This poll was likely taken before Her Knee Padness asked NASA about racist trees.

The Dems care about their agenda. In particular installing a European style socialist government. So that means ramming through the Green New Deal now. They need it to get out the Dem base in the midterms, too.
They’re not worried about losing the Senate because they know China Mitch and the Chamber of Commerce owned GOP will deliver most of what they want.
I would like to see the breakdown of exactly WHO approves of her... That said, she might be a nicer person than Biden...
Overgrown governments leading to collapse in their countries happened many times in history... but even knowing this I never imagined just how ugly the fall will be.

If they would let her do what she’s best at, poles would be going up everywhere.
