Depending on federal law and the courts to protect our rights is like a battered wife asking her husband for permission to leave and go to the shelter.

Nuremberg was also conducted essentially at the point of a gun. <
It was imho the right thing to do given the horrors the Nazi medical establishment visited upon the people, but at the end of the day it required men with guns to ensure it happened.
