Van Jones and many other black Americans know that black-American based insults such as "Aunt Jemimah" will not work to shame black immigrants as it would on American-born blacks.
Believe me, I've seen the frustration on faces of people like Van Jones when their tried and true shaming tactics just bounce off immigrants like bullets off Superman's chest.
