Record 1.3 million early votes. Not a good sign since Dems usually pile up big numbers, especially in NoVA.
“Record 1.3 million early votes. Not a good sign since Dems usually pile up big numbers, especially in NoVA.”
Where does this information come from?
I wouldn't read too much into that for two reasons... NoVA is loaded this time around with many, many thousands of pissed-off parents of school-aged kids... and Youngkin strongly encouraged his backers to vote early. Very likely that high number is a more even mix than before.
Not anywhere close to a record. 2.8 million people voted early in 2020. This is the first gubernatorial election in Virginia with no excuse early voting. Virginia used to have one of the toughest absentee voting standards in the country. You had to show good cause to vote absentee and if you didn’t fit one of a small number of categories, you couldn’t vote absentee.
Not sure about that. Youngkin’s team told everyone to vote early vs. today because they were worried about most problems occurring voting day.
