'You are the problem': AT&T tells white staff they are racist, asks them to confess their 'white privilege' and to promote 'Defund the Police as part of re-education program by CEO John Stankey

White employees of AT&T have been told to read an article saying that they are racist, are told to confess to their 'white privilege' and acknowledge 'systemic racism,' and must engage with set texts or else they will be penalized in their performance reviews.

AT&T, in the aftermath of the George Floyd murder, introduced an internal program called Listen Understand Act.

John Stankey, the CEO of AT&T, wrote to the company's 230,000 employees in an April 2021 email, obtained by journalist Christopher Rufo and published on his website.

Stankey, who took over as CEO in July 2020, urged his workers to make the most of the resources provided by AT&T's anti-racism portal.

'As individuals, we can make a difference by doing our part to advance racial equity and justice for all,' he wrote.

'If you are looking for tools to better educate and inform yourself on racial equality, resources are available at Listen. Understand. Act.

'We also encourage you to actively participate in our recently launched Equality First learning experience, a new initiative to increase awareness and action around our value to Stand for Equality.'

Most employees are not forced to engage with the Listen Understand Act program, but managers at AT&T are now assessed annually on diversity issues - with mandatory participation in programs such as discussion groups, book clubs, mentorship programs, and race reeducation exercises, according to Rufo's source.

The source told Rufo that employees are asked to sign a loyalty pledge to 'keep pushing for change.'

They are encouraged to sign up to 'intentions' such as 'reading more about systemic racism' and 'challenging others' language that is hateful.'

The source, described as a senior employee, said: 'If you don't do it, you're a racist.'

the lady who was whatever they called the Diversity Officer at the time said that she contacted the people who produced the poster and they said it was true, so that was okay and if I didn’t like it I could go work somewhere else.

I quit.

How else to explain the progress towards acceptance of death camps for white people?

Do not wait for delivery to a death camp.

Deliver a death camp to them.

I dropped AT&T as my cell phone provider in January as part of my broader drive to deplatform my enemies from my wallet. I will not return. Ever.

Unfortunately, all Internet Providers in my area are the enemy.

My sin nature always prompts me to wish that these types would find themselves on the receiving end of a massive hate crime thrashing by a POC (or a group of POCs). In this guy’s case, I hope the police and 911 are nowhere to be found, either.

People like this CEO are so twisted that they would probably think they deserve it.

Well, if anyone had illusions that CNN wasn’t a good fit for AT&T, there you have it…

Glad we cut all ties with AT&T (DirecTV, land line) years ago. They are evil.

Dear God. This man looks like an escapee from a lunatic asylum who rushed to the nearest thrift store to buy the ugliest, least fashionable clothes he could find.

When white people leave because they are tired of being abused, it will be a total shock to the “experts”.

People should work for companies that value them, and leave those that hate them.

These corporate execs are acting like wife beaters—hmmm—maybe that is because they have practice at it...

So what do we do? Boycott AT&T?

---SNIP---

But today, Big Business is hardcore Leftist.

That's the problem. Boycott one company and the replacement is just as bad.

“I remember decades ago, when conservatives defended Big Business. But today, Big Business is hardcore Leftist.”

The legal profession at most large,corporate/business-oriented law firms used to be more conservative too. Now all the Big Law firms seem to be run by and filled with the looney left. Clients count on expensive lawyers for their ability to think rationally, critically and soberly (able to distinguish reality from fantasy), yet we now have Big Law firms promoting the transgender agenda and letting lawyers who are supposed to be rational add their preferred pronouns to their firm website biographies.

I guess the crazies at the big corporations are the ones who will be foolish enough to spend $800.00 per hour for the advice of a male lawyer whose preferred pronouns are she/her/hers.

It goes back to the Nixon admin. and the letter of agreement signed by AT&T with the DoJ. I worked in the Bell System at the time, NY Tel.
At that time, AT&T was the largest private employer in the free world. In exchange for ending an anti-trust suit by the DoJ, the company agreed to impliment an Affirmative Action program under the watchful eye of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
(Those of us who were the great unwashed in the System called the EEOC the Eventual Elimination Of Caucasians)
Once the gov’t had AT&T in its pocket, it was only a matter of time before the rest of big business fell in line.....and they did.

PS, The time you’re talking about was just after the breakup of AT&T and the Bell System. AT&T as well as all the baby bells were going through labor problems due to their poor handling of that task.

In the 'Act' section of the training program, Rufo reported, AT&T encourages employees to participate in a '21-Day Racial Equity Habit Challenge'. The plan, he said, relies on the concepts of 'whiteness,' 'white privilege,' and 'white supremacy' and those participating must commit to 'do one action [per day for 21 days] to further [their] understanding of power, privilege, supremacy, oppression, and equity.'

This program will probably succeed in turning non-racist whites into white supremacists.

No point in trying to reason with an oligarchy. They have chosen methods to divide and conquer. As with COVID mandates, they will not be dissuaded by logic - and neither will their minions, who have been assured reparations and subsidies are coming soon.
