Here’s my favorite:
We had a dry winter and spring so we will have a dangerous fire season.
We had a wet winter and spring so we will have a dangerous fire season.
Can’t believe I’m the first to this, you don’t understand we need more taxes to stop this....
I think I just left one in my toilet.
Got to be a British thing. They don’t talk good English there.
Its raining here. It just seems like regular rain. Nothing special about it
Never happened when Trump was president.
That undoubtedly had a double effect. According to covid researchers when you flushed the toilet spread in a manner John Deere could only dream of.
A bomb cyclone is nothing compared to a communist democrat.
A little Maalox could help...
These propagandists can’t find bad enough terms to describe a
normal heavy storm by these days.
I guess it gets boring talking about the same old things days
in and days out.
“Back to back bomb cyclones...”
Shameful.
I’m a weather geek and never heard the term “bomb cyclone” before though winter storms with wind over 100 mph across the Sierra crest are not unusual. I prefer your formulation much better and will be borrowing it liberally in the future
So the weather channel will be in complete orgasmic climate
So the weather channel will be in complete orgasmic climax
The headline reminds me of the elderly woman who wrote to her son hundreds of miles away.
“START WORRYING! Details in the next letter!”
They say Jerry Nadler has them when he eats at the burrito cart in the Capitol hallway. He never learns.
“Alberta Clipper” and “Siberian Express” are so outdated now. Got to come up with new terrifying terms for old storms.
We call it a “Frog strangler”.
I can remember a time in America when we used to call that "rain".
Thank you. I was about to say . . .
Exactly, whining about normal nature. The local media was whining about drought conditions and the need for rain. Meanwhile, regular folks like us said just wait until October and get massive rain like we do every year. Sure enough, it's raining buckets now in California, same as every year this time. Now the local media is whining about the rain and wondering about relief from rain. It's the season for rain! Nature makes climate change despite what people think.
“START WORRYING! Details in the next letter!”
*****
I got that from my mom. It’s like if I’m not worrying about things then I’m not really trying my best and I’m unprepared.
It may also be the reason I like fear porn news and dystopian movies.
