I got on here to say just that. Born Male and given the name Richard.
In later years, others might say "Pronouns were so 20th century."
The problem is if you want to avoid specifying sex, there there is no generic third person pronoun that is singular.
First person singular is “I” or “me”.
“You” works for second person - either singular or plural.
“They” works for third person plural.
So, everything is covered but third person singular.
People try to use “they” for singular, but it sounds stupid and it’s just confusing.
We have enough real problems - it’s so sad that people have to create these fake problems where none existed.
