Terry McAuliffe is misreading what matters to Virginia voters
Washington Examiner ^ | October 17,2021 | by Salena Zito

If voters here back Youngkin, it won't be because they woke up and decided that they love Republicans again. It will be because the Democrats have pissed them off. Most of their answers will begin in 2020, when their children were quarantined at home at the onset of the pandemic and they realized the amount of control and power school boards have over what their children learn.

To win, McAuliffe has to change the dynamic. He's got two ways to do it. One requires introducing something that is truly disqualifying for Youngkin. That hasn't worked, and so the other is to associate Youngkin with Trump, which also isn't working. Most voters' concerns in this election have literally nothing to do with Trump, and they’d like you to stop asking about him, thank you very much.

Democrats may be in a far worse position than they understand — not only in Virginia, but everywhere. Biden has become the new Trump, and attitudes toward him are the new measurement of dissatisfaction with Washington.

In the last two governor races in Virginia, if you look at the early vote by party — obviously you don't know how anybody voted — you know how many Republicans and how many Democrats have voted during early voting. The Democrats' advantage this year is far behind where it was in the last two gubernatorial election cycles.

So what is Virginia telling us? It might be that a red wave is at least a possibility.

McAwful institutionalized vote fraud in his first term.

It is possible for Youngkin to win with all the unrest in NOVA about the school boards if people stop being idiots, but it’s a long shot.

Democrats are not really worried. They are simply upgrading and deploying the fraud machine. Publish a few phony polls, get the amens from the colluding syncophant MSM and deploy the fraudsters. Works like a charm.

It is early. Suspect a large influx of absentee ballots near election day will occur. We will see.

Polls show Mccauliffe at +5.

Liberal NVa will vote for him and the rest of the state does not have a chance. It’s all about numbers.

My liberal sister in NVa in Loudoun cty is going to vote for him even after I sent to her what he had said.

I know that Youngkin has spent a lot of money organizing efforts against voter fraud. He has a whole team of election officers and poll watchers. I heard that he has used a lot of his own money. Some of those helping are former Democrats. One said he has always voted, saw what has been happening, questioned the Dem policies, realized that his Hispanic heritage/values is not in sink w/Dems values and is now all in Republican. Even in NOVA, people are angry and lots of Dems voting red. We’ll see but if all this can overcome the voter fraud particularly in Fairfax County.

TM has released ads of Youngkin praising Trump and saying Trump was a driving force for him to run. Like it’s a bad thing.

I would say the writer is misreading what is important. All that matters is to inject enough fraud into the voting to get him elected.

No way any republican wins. The fraud is already planned and they will be more subtle in Virginia....Not pulling out hidden ballots from under a table like stupid Georgia allowed

The Dems need to cheat more to win. And they will continue to cheat until something is done about it somehow. Eventually, the cheating becomes to obvious to ignore, but people aren't protesting in the streets yet, or withholding tax payments.
