I live in a blue state, and I often hear people talk about it with surprise, as if gas price increases were something caused by increased sunspot activity or a tropical disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico.

I know they have their Lefties down in Texas, but I understand they are more localized than generalized around the state so I would be surprised if you got that sentiment...unless you lived in one of those places.

I saw gas for $5.99 a gallon on the west side of LA last week.
