Students at a Washington state school had been told they had to wear masks at all times — even while chewing their food during lunch.
The bizarre COVID-19 protocols at the Geiger Montessori School in Tacoma, just outside Seattle, said students had to wear masks in the cafeteria and could lower them “only to take a bite or drink.”
Principal Neil O’Brien spoke of the measures at a Parent Teacher Student Association meeting as recently as Sept. 14, according to the meeting’s minutes.
“We all wear masks, even in cafeteria. Geiger practices spreading children out during meals, lowering only to take a bite or drink and then raising it again,” O’Brien said.

Masks. Do. Not. Work. At least, not when it comes to taking bites of food and masticating. Dreadful idea all around.
Even as a “virtue signal”, masks are becoming an epic fail. The psychological damage alone should be an overwhelming argument against their use among school children of ANY age.
Years ago, the Frito-Lay snack food commercials included a jingle about the Frito Bandito, Ai, yai, yai. Kids were putting bandanas over their faces and stealing the snack-sized bags off the grocery store displays. Frito-Lay had to stop the campaign, as vendors were suffering a great deal from such pilferage. Didn’t do much for the behavior of the kids, either.
Be very, very careful how masks are used.

It sure is. Mental and emotional abuse. Those commie libs are bombarding those Pre-K through 5th graders with so many twisted messages about being afraid - of even breathing. No way in h*ll would I ever subject my grandchildren to such paranoid delusional people.
Lower mask to take a bite or sip, then replace right afterward, is what the TSA tells people they must do if eating or drinking on an airplane.
I wonder if O'Brien is aware of the pluses and minuses of wearing masks? One plus is that the mask is probably less than 10% effective. One minus is the high number and variety of pathegens found in the masks. The number of negatives is very high in terms of both physical and mental health.
Does O'Brien have any children or experience with children? Could he be looking for a higher rank in the communist party?
I sincerely believe that we are creating a generation of children who will grow up to be afraid of their own shadows.
Don’t they know that masks don’t work?
They don’t prevent the spread of the virus, but they CAUSE a bevy of other problems.
Just look at that Sweden vs Israel graph. If anything they make infections go UP!
The WORST masks of all are the cloth ones that most people wear.
“Face diaper” is an apt name for them.

The principal of this (government) school is a sick person and should never be allowed unsupervised in the presence of children.
Please, someone tell me why parents acquiesce to having their children sadistically abused by these people. If you can’t take a stand for your children, what in the hell are you worth as a human being????

Kids touching their masks dozens of times during lunch/snacks = nasty!
I’m sure someone is washing these cloth masks after one use or providing new cloth or paper ones every day (yeah ... sure they are)
And no one questions why there have been reports of outbreaks of RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) in infants and young children recently.
Things were much simpler when I went to school many decades ago. Teachers ran drills where we were taught to duck and cover under our desks, in case of a nuclear attack by the Soviets. Even though our multi-level school was a mile from ground zero in SF with the windows facing a potential blast.
It's all about indoctrinating kids to think that authorities are protecting kids, when in reality it's all about control.
