I see that as a false proposition.

A choice between a Democrat and a Republican who will "compromise" with the Democrats was never a choice at all. In the end, the RINO's will always concede to the Democrats. They always did in the past. They are doing it now. They will do so in what remains of their future.

The Republicans are just grifters holding out for a larger bribe from the Democrats. That is the way our current Government works.

Unfortunately, there is not enough swag to go around and the Republicans are disposable. The margin-of-cheat guarantees that Democrats will win all future "elections" in all the States that matter, so they need not be overly concerned with Republican posturing. It is all just theater while the current incumbents negotiate their exit prices.

The people with any kind of savings (401K, Pensions, Cash Accounts, etc.) are the ones who will be plundered. The theatrics are merely to distract people while the Democrats pick their pockets.
