That is my point exactly. When will the Black Citizens figure out what the white liberals are doing to them? Unemployment with blacks is skyrocketing, again, under white liberal leadership, and this ‘white’ racists are herding blacks back on the plantations.

I was reminded of that just recently when I saw some U.S. personnel fleeing the embassy in Kabul by helicopter and, later, some U.S. citizens abandoned entirely.
That the U.S. federal government would bloat and fail was just a matter of time after the disaster at Appomattox. And it didn’t take 150 years to do so.
I fear it will get worse with the blue state culture in control.

After Roe v. Wade, the world drank from America's cup, and to date, over One Billion souls have been extinguished by abortion practitioners, just since '73. And this doesn't include those lives taken by the 'morning after drug', or IUDs (which work similarly).
That's more lives taken in less than fifty-years than in all the wars fought in recorded history.

I thought I read that Scott met with Lee to discuss a possible command in the northern army.

Yes he did.
Charles F. Adams was sent by Lincoln to feel Lee out on the subject of commanding the army being formed. When Adams discussed the possibility with Lee, Lee said that he would like to discuss the matter with General Scott. They met, but I do not know what transpired.
