Less than one week after the United States completed its full troop withdrawal from Afghanistan, Sen. Lindsey Graham said the US will “have to” re-enter the war-torn country in an interview with BBC that aired worldwide on Monday.
...We will be going back into Afghanistan, as we went back into Iraq and Syria.”
BBC host Stephen Sackur pushed Graham for clarification, asking if he “seriously” thought the US would re-enter the country after such a chaotic withdrawal.
“We’ll have to,” Graham said. “We’ll have to. Because the threat will be so large. It will be a cauldron for radical Islamic behavior.”

Imagine the polling. “How about sending our troops into the cauldron of Mideast suicide bombs and violence to face the Taliban and ISIS killers who are using our own weapons against us? For maybe 20 more years. Good idea?”
Pollster: Something’s wrong with the computer. It’s showing “zero” instead of the total for support. Some kind of glitch.
John McCain would be proud of his boy.
Send Flimsey and the GOP Senators who agree with him.
no
By 2014 Flimsey Grahamnesty had voted for amnesty and a permanent Democrat majority THREE times.
He should have been replaced then.
What do you think we're going to have to when the terrorist attacks ramp up again with the Taliban's assistance?
Ignoring Islamic jihadists is going to make them go away.
Re-invade Afghanistan? Just how are we going to do that? Where would our staging area be? And have Pakistan, China, Uzbekistan, Tadzhikistan, Turkmenistan or Iran given us permission to cross over their territory to stage such an invasion?
He can lead the charge.
...if I am not mistaken, he is a retired full bird Colonel from the United States Air Force Reserve....at least give him credit for that service to our country....
Like the British at Khartoum. In 1885, after the massacre of the Egyptian and British citizens, the British Press demanded action which pulled the British back into the Sudan Wars for another twenty years.
No Pansey. We send a whole lot of bombs that way and blow the ever living crap out of that nation.
No more American blood for hadji.
As a matter of fact, I think, he is right.
We have re-invaded Iraq already. If the Taliban turns out to be the major supporter of terrorists, we have to do that.
Maybe for shorted time, acting more decisively and less interested in nation building.
No invasion, just nuke em from orbit.
It the only way to be sure.🤔

5:47 long ..... the meat and potato’s starts at the 1:44 mark.
If his comments don’t get your blood boiling then you’re no different than him and I challenge you or anyone else that doesn’t have a problem with his comments to get fitted for some kit and get ready to lead the way back to Afghanistan.
And the short clip just gets worse.
How the people, legislature and Governor of South Carolina aren’t demanding resignation and declaring him Persona Non Grata, is way beyond me.
POS of the highest order.
They have all of our weapons now. We won’t be invading anybody for a while.
Yep.
> ya gotta be nuts of you think the American people are going to stand for yet another fruitless invasion of this miserable sh*thole of a 7th century nation <
But it won’t be an invasion. It will be a clearing expedition, with only a limited amount of combat troops. Of course those troops will need a base. And that base will need security and support forces. And an airfield or two.
Oh, wait. I guess that is an invasion.
Because Afghanistan is the only place in the world where terrorists can plot against the US - right Linda?
Maybe that was the plan all along. The powers that be must keep those profitable endless wars going.
