Pastor Jimmy Morales of the Lone Mountain Calvary Chapel in Las Vegas refused to bow to Gov. Sisolak’s CV19 emergency orders last year, continuing to hold in person, no mask services on Sundays throughout the “pandemic”.
So one day after someone filed a complaint with the governor’s office, Pastor Morales got a call from the Attorney General’s office on behalf of Gov. Sisolak. He ordered the Pastor to comply with Gov. Sisolak’s emergency orders to wear masks and to limit in person Sunday services to 50 people or be arrested. By this time, June 2020, Gov. Sisolak had increased occupancy for casinos and strip clubs to 50% of their capacity. But Sisolak limited churches to 50 people regardless of their capacity clearly discriminating against churches.
Pastor Jimmy refused to comply. So Sisolak ordered Metro Police to arrest Pastor Jimmy. But God had other plans for the Pastor. The Lt. at the local Metro Police precinct called the Pastor to tell him his police refused to follow Gov. Sisolak’s orders to shut down the church and arrest the pastor.
It was shortly thereafter when Joey Gilbert and Sigal Chattah reached out to Pastor Jimmy to offer legal help. Pastor Jimmy described the “out of the blue” call as an answer to his prayers. Joey and Sigal took Pastor Jimmy’s case and sued Gov. Sisolak for violating the church’s first amendment rights. And just days before Christmas 2020, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in favor of Calvary Chapel liberating every Church in Nevada in the process allowing in person Christmas Services.
Pastor Jimmy was one of two Pastors in the entire state, out of some 450 churches, who dared to stand up to the Governor. While other pastors cowered in fear of losing followers if they dared sue Sisolak, Lone Mountain Calvary Chapel doubled their numbers.
Jesus stood up to the corrupt Temple, stood up to Roman Authority and suffered a painful death on the cross for it. Pastors in Nazi Germany hid Jews knowing they would be killed if caught. Pastor Jimmy may have been inspired by Jesus but Pastor Jimmy is an inspiration to us all. Perhaps that’s why not one MSN channel in Nevada showed up yesterday to Calvary Chapel to cover Joey Gilbert and Sig Chatteh’s speech about the case before the parish.

Joey Gilbert is running for Gov in the 2022 race.
Good for him, Pastor Jimmy for Governor.
Anyone who charges against GOd and his people, well, let’s just say that won’t end well for the enemies of God. This has been proven throughout history, yet they don’t seem to get the message: Know God = know peace; NO God - NO peace.
“other pastors cowered in fear.” Sad, but true. I remember in April 2020 going into Home Depot and feeling a sense of fear of not wearing a mask. After all, it is “fifteen days to flatten the curve.” Fear. Dread. It is sad and embarrassing to cower in fear before going to Home Depot when not wearing a mask. I wish more citizens and religious leaders stopped cowering in fear everywhere.

Yup. Not sure he can swing vegas. But you never know. I am SO tired of sissypants. Of course the dems would have to lose a lot in the senate and assembly for any real change to happen.
