“KEITH RICHARDS LIVES!!!”

When the time comes, I hope his body gets donated to science!

Well, he’s preserved anyway.

An old 2010 FR thread:

Who, What, Why: How is Keith Richards still alive?

The link to the original BBC article is still active.

Sorry to hear this. I saw the Stones in concert a number of times. Watts was a good drummer, always keep a good, solid rock beat. RIP Charlie.

I tried, but couldn’t get tickets; they were always sold out, and I wasn’t paying scalpers’ prices.

Yup. He was one of few drummers who inspired me to take up playing the drums.

Good luck finding a more solid groove than he lays down on Slave off Tatoo You. Plus a Sonny Rollins tenor sax solo.

The Rolling Stones have been together since 1963, 58 years.

wow 58 years. That’s longer than many of their fans have even been alive.

The Stones have to be setting records for longevity. They have been big stars in parts of seven decades — the 1960s, the 1970s, the 1980s, the 1990s, the 2000s, the 2010s, and now into the 2020s.

I remember their first songs, back in the early 60s, in HS.
