Beginning September 7, 2021 importation of firearms and ammunition from Russia will be prohibited. The order will be effective for twelve months. Currently Russian ammunition accounts for 40% of sales in certain calibers.
Prices are going to skyrocket.
Chinese ammo has been banned since 1993.
Right now the only people more pissed than the American gun owner are the citizens of Tula, and Izhevsk Russia. Perhaps this will accelerate the switch to polymer cased ammunition.

Buy it now when you can.
I have some combloc guns. Domestic and Eastern European manufacturers make the various flavors for the russian guns. The Russian stuff is just cheaper.

A ban apt to evaporate like the morning dew in the desert.
10% for the wholly Chinese owned Big Guy...
The Russian ammo market has already dried up as I type.
I think that’s the intent.
How about the importation of Russian RD 180 rocket engines which are still being used by ULA (The Lockheed plus Boeing rocket company)?

Saw a documentary about those !
Ussr solved an engineering problem we thought couldn’t be solved.
So in other words the bass turds are imposing sanctions against American citizens instead of the Russian Federation.
Got it.
The prices were exploding upward before my eyes. Up about 15 cents per round within an hour. Hopefully Eastern Europe can take up the slack, there’s money to be made if they seize the moment. The cynic in me says that Joe is prepping the market for the Chinese to make a big splash with an export brand of AK/SKS ammo of their own.

How difficult/expensive would it be to reload?
Wut?????
Good lord this administration’s priorities are bass ackwards. What’s the point of this???
I think there is already a ban on ammo from China. Somebody mentioned earlier North Korea. I don’t know why they wouldn’t have been in the US market previously. Maybe, they are banned as well.
The Russian ammo helped drive down the price of US ammo because the Russians provided steel case ammo in many popular rounds. Without that competition, that may drive demand and the prices up.
“Restrictions on the permanent imports of certain Russian firearms. New and pending permit applications for the permanent importation of firearms and ammunition manufactured or located in Russia will be subject to a policy of denial.”
Hmm....sounds like existing permanent importers can keep doing it.
Headline is misleading.
Indubitably!
This is a disaster. No way to look at it otherwise. It’s a massive blow to gun rights.
This is the future of gun control. They’re going after ammo. And this has nothing to do with punishing Russia. It’s about us.
No doubt about it.
anything to disarm us
