And, she claims, whenever she asks God about stripping naked online, He always gives her the same answer: yes!
2 Peter 3:16
He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
Hey, we’re not under the Law anymore! Jesus abolished it! Anything goes! Weeeee!
The way, error and doctrine of Balaam. Destroy from within. One chapter
from a book isn’t the whole story. Some folks need to read the ending. It’s so sad we have been fed easy believism by pastors for so long. Now we reap the results.
Excellent article. Thank you for posting. Thankfully, I have a pastor that strikes the right balance.
You know, Christ died for sinners past and present. I am a flawed human being like everybody else. There have been times when I chose to do something I knew to be sinful. I am not proud of that fact, but we humans always struggle with sin. It is not routine, but sometimes I fail.
I am always pulled into repentance by remembering that it was MY sins that nailed him to the cross. I look at it like, when I do something wrong, I nailed another nail into Jesus. When I think of it that way, it just crushes me. But I know I serve a merciful God who understands my weakness. . . very humbling.
Those who would pervert the gospel of grace - and it's been going on for 2000 years - will either insist believers have a license to sin all they want or, on the other end of the spectrum, mandate obedience to the commandments, ordinances and rituals of religion in order to keep the gift. Neither is the true gospel. The preacher of easy-believe-ism is just as accursed as the works-based one.
