This is what happens with the current Flag Officer politicians. There is no "ground truth" just like Vietnam. If the Flag Officers were honest they would have let the CINC know the Afghan Army is a paper tiger and in it for the money and security. Intelligence should have exposed this years ago. But, then again, our class of Flag Officers are still attempting to figure out "White Rage." What a debacle.
I must say I knew several Flag Officers that did speak the truth but were fired by Obama.

Congratulations Miley, you are the military leader responsible for the second worst moment in the history of the United States Armed Forces. I was home on leave (USMC) when Saigon fell in 1975. It took us decades to overcome the shame of defeat. But then the current crop of flag officers are so woke, I doubt they will find any shame in their defeat by the Taliban.
