I think Barbara Lagona ("the Cuban lady") would have just been as flawed a choice as Barrett (she was a Jeb Bush pick and her husband is the son of a top Clinton advisor). Trump's entire "list" was flawed, and the people vetting them and naming his finalists for the job gave him awful advise. 90% of Trump's "list" consisted of career federal judges and ivy-league elitists.
