Asians have a higher IQ than whites but IQ isn’t everything.

Do Asians have a higher IQ? I would imagine Asians living here do, but those are the crème de la crème of their country because immigrants from Asian countries tend to be the programmers, doctors, researchers, etc. As an analogy, if your only exposure to us Alabamians was when a gymnastics team competed in your state, you'd think us Alabamians are in much better shape than the rest of the country. But if you visited here and saw us collectively across different wealth, races, and ages you'd see that we're probably more overweight than the rest of the country.

So I wonder what the IQ of the overall Asian nations are compared to Americans overall, not average Americans competing with just Asian geeks.

It’s not a higher IQ as a race. A lot of Asian kids are pushed and have it ingrained in them to study and apply themselves. Our kids used to be like that, but not anymore.
