There will be no gold medal chance for the U.S. women’s soccer team at the Tokyo Olympics after they went down to Canada early Monday morning.
The 1-0 victory was the first by the Canadians against their U.S. neighbour since 2001.
A second-half penalty delivered for Canada as it upset the four-time Olympic women’s football champions in Kashima to reach the final for the first time.
Canada will now face the winner of the late semifinal in Yokohama between Sweden and Australia. The gold medal match is set for Friday at the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo.

We should be talking about Keni Harrison! She took silver in the 100m and was ALL ABOUT THE FLAG AND COUNTRY! She’s awesome.
That said, might anyone suspect that the uber-America-hating ingrate Rapinoe will find a way to somehow twist the reason of her loss because into that she's a "victim" and that our Country is to blame?

There used to be a time when I would root for the US Team to win in ANY sport, Olympic or otherwise.... the Women’s soccer team, Gwen Berry and the kneeling basketball players among others, made me change my mind :(
I was thinking they still have to play for bronze.
I’d rather they fail that too.
I feel sorry for the ladies who aren’t into this hatred. But there are too many haters on the team for me to forgive it.

It’s not the men’s Olympic team, it’s the US men’s national team they beat Mexico to with the Gold Cup.
I wonder if that ugly little boy stood for that anthem
That was the US Men celebrating after beating Mexico again, to win The Gold Cup.
The US had only 3 players from the team that previously beat Mexico a few months earlier in the Nation’s Cup Final, while Mexico had 8 of their players, so basically that that was the US “C” team that beat the Mexico “A/B” team.
My point is I don’t think that is the Tokyo Olympics. So last night where?
