Not sure how the Ivy League pulled it off, but their militant religious zealotry of, and fundamental denial of biological sex, is even more stupid than “the flat earther society”.

This whole debate is one of semantics, not facts. The facts are simple: There are only two types of children born to humans. There are those who contain ovaries which produce ovum that can be fertilized to produce children, and those who have testicles which produce sperm which can fertilize the ovum. These two groups have significantly different physical characteristics, as well as mental reactions to various situations. There is simply no honest debate over these facts.

These two types often look, dress, and act differently from each other. This often makes it easy for most people to distinguish the difference. Historically this difference has been described as ‘sex’ or ‘gender’. A small minority of people have chosen to describe themselves as members of the group other than the one from which they were born. Some in society wish to codify this desire into laws which allow it, or even encourage it. This is what the debate is all about.

There are significant compromises which can be required when one side prevails over the other. These compromises involve privacy, sports, education, procreation, laws, punishment, legal standing, and many more. Some want to simply impose their views of these compromises without debate and constitutional requirements. Others resist this. This is the issue that matters to most.

"During registration, the technician asked “what sex do you identify as?"

The correct reply is: "You insult me by asking such a stupid question".

I’m not sure I follow your assertion that every fetus starts as female. At the genetic level, it is presence of the Y chromosome that dictates how the genitalia develop.

They do, but after 60 days does the y chromosome drop; if it doesn’t then the fetus is female which means prior to that it’s basically female.

My basic bio courses are 35+ years ago! Thanks for the informative (and civil!) answer, FRiend.

You're lucky you're not attending now- now they're firing prof's who say only women can get pregnant and that there are only two biological beings. Too funny.

Be safe.

Harvard, if there is no biological sex, where do babies come from?

What they’re saying is that it is not only women who can get pregnant; that professor was terminated for mentioning there are only two sexes and only women can get pregnant.
