Luckily, my local WeatherGeeks have YET to get a forecast correct this entire growing season, so I remain hopeful that it will miss us! We NEED rain, but not this shiite!
Just texted Beau awhile ago, asking him to be on the road by Noon today, or to stay over another night. He does NOT need to be driving his monster-sized truck, with MY dogs in the dog box on back and a trailer with MY ATV behind him in hurricane force winds as he heads home from Up Nort’ today!

If the Kitchen Garden gets hit at least we’ll have potatoes! They can take pretty much a direct hit from a tornado - they’ll be already dug for me and probably washed. I’ll just have to pretend it’s an Easter Egg Hunt! :)

I had a taste of a Derecho Storm in Western Ohio. They hit hard and fast. Could hardly see out the window of my 2nd floor apartment as the rain went every direction and lots of it. I drove home from downtown, seeing these really dark fast moving clouds come together. Was just a few blocks away from downtown, it hit just as I got there.
