San Francisco local businesses and employees are calling for change as they describe increasingly brazen shoplifting and car break-ins.

Many residents told Fox News they believe changing California law Proposition 47 is the solution.

"The police are actually wonderful, their hands are tied, that’s what’s going on out here." Gianni, a local who works in Fisherman’s Wharf, told Fox News.

San Francisco Police Department's Public Information Officer, Robert Rueca explained "There’s a threshold of 950 dollars that needs to be met in order for a misdemeanor to turn into a felony when it comes to theft."

"We have to enforce the current laws we have," Rueca added.

Mario Ruiz, a San Francisco employee near Union Square, felt because of this law "there’s no penalty to shoplift."

All major stores should leave CA until CA politicians realize what they caused with their Socialist policies. The folks that voted for them, should stay, we don't want you in any red states!

You voted ‘em in, folks!

I am surprised it took this long for the perps to realize there is nothing stopping them from just walking in and helping themselves.

Enjoy your liberal progressivism!

It very quickly getting to the point where there’s nowhere to flee to. The new regime is quickly turning all of America into California sh!thole city status. As Rudy Giuliani proved, among the mass of non prosecuted misdemeanor criminals are the felons who will also commit all variety of crimes, including murder.

Liberalism fails again, as it always does. And the residents will vote the same politicians into office again, and again.

What leftists call “restorative justice”, normal people call a crime wave. All across the country Soros paid DAs have handed get out of jail free cards to blacks to grow the BLM army. South Africa has just been looted top to bottom, BLM style, by the communists. Coincidence? No.

ps

BLM is patterned after the Kenyan Mau Mau who terrorized British white colonialists in the 50s. Who do we know from Kenya? Oh yea! Obama.

Mario Ruiz, a San Francisco employee near Union Square, felt because of this law "there’s no penalty to shoplift."

More importantly, there is a reward to shoplifting--it is how to get free stuff.

When the reward outweighs the risk homo sapiens acts like chimps.

Not only was it voted for by the Ca voters, but they voted yes by 59%.

Because lazy and stupid voters didn't do their homework and voted based on TV commercials.

And if I remember correctly, Prop. 47 was called the Safe Neighborhoods and Schools Act, and lazy stupid voters took that at face value.

If the locals don’t like what’s happening, they have 2 choices. Change the way they vote or move away. If they choose neither, then they can continue to cry about it.

If they shot the looters, they’d be arrested and bankrupted.

If they prevented the looters from leaving, they’d be arrested for kidnapping and bankrupted.

If they gave the looters a stern talking to, the DA would charge them with a hate crime, they’d be bankrupted, and BLM would burn their store to the ground.

If they do nothing, they’ll just be bankrupted.

Change the price on every item in the store to Sales Price + $950. Then offer a discount of $950 at the register to customers, i.e., those who fairly and legally participate in a free market economy.
