And here we have it! The absolute answer to all of this. Cases are a big scam and they always have been. The focus started off on hospitalizations and deaths. When those number didn’t paint the desired picture, they switched to “Cases.” Just as you say, cases are nothing but BS using a test that is manipulated to return a positive result if you had 2 seconds of contact with someone that had a cold two years ago.
We are not going to vaccinate our way out of the pandemic, which, in reality, is over. We must learn to live with the virus. Well over 99% of those who contract it survive. All of lockdowns didn’t work. They just prolong the the effect until we reach herd immunity, the same way the 1917 Spanish flu ended.
It is time to stand up and fight the erosion of our individual liberties and the power of big government. Individuals are responsible for their choices. And we must end the torture of our children who are virtually bulletproof from the virus.

To be honest I don’t recall what the hotspots in Missouri were. Maybe 50 cases out of 100,000??
My county (two big cities and suburbia) was 6 cases per 100,000 people. Cases! Not in the hospital, not dead - cases! (I’m guessing the county is 2 million folks - so 120 cases total.)
Bingo. Remember when the objective was to flatten the curve so as not to overwhelm our hospitals? Now they seem to have moved the goal posts to eradicate the virus with one case or death too many. Why the fear of a virus where the survivability rate iswell over 99% and 80% of the deaths are in people over 65.

There are numerous reported examples of this "breakthrough" cases, all the way up to the massive breakthroughs occurring in Israel, which has a very highly vaccinated population.
The media keeps brushing off these "breakthroughs" explaining that "at least the symptoms will be less severe than if the person was not vaccinated."
These cases tell me the vaccine is not working or is targeted against a no-longer prevalent strain. With normal, approved vaccines such as MMR, tetanus, or polio, no one has to write up stories trying to explain away "breakthrough" cases because there aren't any.
