TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — A video by a Chinese military buff channel last week called for an all-out war with Japan were it to try to defend Taiwan from an invasion from China, outlining plans for dividing Japan into four countries and a vassal state after a supposed defeat by People's Liberation Army (PLA) forces.
On July 13, verified military commentary channel "Liujun Taolue" (六军韬略) uploaded a video titled “The United States and Japan will jointly defend Taiwan? Interference with our unification of Taiwan means Japan’s Destruction!” Within one day, the video had garnered 1.94 million views, 24,000 comments, and 53,000 likes on the YouTube-like platform Xigua.
The video lists out six major strategy points in the event Japan tries to intervene during a PLA invasion of Taiwan. First, it says that a pre-war strategy will be utilized in which Taiwan and Japan will become the "two main directions of attack."

“ I would expect they’d land on Japan similar to the Allied invasion of German occupied Europe, i.e., D-Day ... Normandy. Many ships, landing craft, aircraft and parachuted troops would be used to invade Japan.”
—————
Japan is roughly 100 times further from China than the D-Day beaches were from England. The UK and US had hundreds of years of naval experience and dozens of prior amphibious landings in the prior 2-3 years between them. Germany had no air force or navy to speak of, and not one single ally to help them fight off our invasion that used thousands of ships and tens of thousands of aircraft.
There is no comparison whatsoever. The new Chinese Navy in 2221 will likely get to see the old Chinese Navy from the early 21st Century just by building glass bottoms on their ships.
“I’m thinking Japan could go nuclear in less than three months if they set their minds to it.”
30 minutes. :)
“How would they land them in Japan?”
Rhine River barges. Opelation Sea Rion.
AVLIS and MLIS plus old hat enrichment schemes.
They don’t have to put one soldier on our shore if our government surrenders. It we be for our own good, don’t you know.
You are right. I didn't realize there was so much distance separating the two nations.
Possibly a bigger question is how the U.S. (Biden Administration) would respond to a Chinese attack on Taiwan or Japan. Would Biden go to war over Taiwan or Japan? Considering the quid-pro-quo relationship his family, U.S. global oligarchs and many politicians have with China, I would not assume U.S. help if I were Taiwanese or Japanese.
No problem. Chinese companies will pump Jet-Skis out by the millions! Can you say Alibaba? LOL!!!

Japan could go nuke in a month—they are not Iran or North Korea. Talk like this only ensures war—China has, in their arrogance, misjudged Japan. The Mongols tried this before when they tried to invade long ago—they failed. This attempt to divide Japan will only unify them into a powerful force.
Less then a month. Unless someone has hidden the metric screwdriver set.
First they would occupy North Korea then invade South Korea with a huge army—Crushing them. Then invade from Pusan to Japan. They would need Russian Help to do this—and keep US out of the fight by distracting us with a Civil War or rebellion or another “Pandemic”.
That's the way I read it, too.
While in past Japan has hesitated, it does take a while to assemble nuclear weapons. And now that China has threatened Japan with them, there is no reason for Japan to not secretly make a bunch.
If China does nothing, no problem. If necessary for use, then plausible deniability in their use would be a big bonus.
