I have seen analyses of the functioning of both on FR. I don’t have time to go hunt them down, though. I believe the HCQ at least works when the zinc you take with it allows the HCQ into the cells where it destroys the virus protein.

Hydroxychloroquine works because it is a zinc ionophore, which changes the charge of zinc ions to get them into the cells more easily; the zinc strongly inhibits reproduction of ALL viruses.

I don’t know why ivermectin works, just that it does from many reports that I have read and heard about from others.

Hydroxychloroquine is a zinc ionophore that transfers zinc into cells as readily shown by in vitro studies. Zinc in the cells suppresses virus replication as has been long known in treating the common cold. That is why it works.
