What better time to push through amnesty for potentially millions of illegal immigrants than during the Biden border crisis? As tone-deaf as the plan is, that is exactly what Senate Democrats are planning to do in the $3.5T infrastructure bill. A decision has not been made on the numbers yet but Senator Dick Durbin, the Senate Democratic Whip, confirmed this week that it will happen. Democrats will try to push through immigration reform in the budget process.

NONE of the Amnesty Senators should be re-elected.
They KNOW they are voting for a permanent Democrat majority.
Rubio and Hoeven need to be primaried out in 2022.
Look who is pushing the hardest this time, the ones just re-elected, Cornyn, Tillis and Grahamnesty.
“Somebody please explain to me what amnesty for illegal aliens has to do with “infrastructure”?”
You clearly don’t understand. Brining lots of illegal aliens into the country is so obviously infrastructure.
But building a wall to keep them out...that’s not infrastructure.
Oh, I am sure you are correct in general.
I was speaking more of this drug-addled Biden being installed with blatant election night chicanery.
I don’t think this administration is meant to survive a single term. I can now see several senior GOPes going along with this arrangement in exchange for an amnesty they want.
Audits are likely to flip the Senate back, so the window is closing.
DemoRats are ALL scum bags.
She is a Bidenista married to a WH Big Wig .
I’ll never be convinced that amnesty should be included in an infrastructure bill. In fact, if you are pushing an infrastructure bill, it should include NOTHING but infrastructure. Incidentally, for those who may not understand,DACA & other stuff like it is NOT infrastructure. A bill for infrastructure, as with any other bill, should include ONE ITEM & in this case that would be infrastructure.
Agree.
One more reason to stop this piece of...legislation.
More bastardization of the language. Immigration reform? There is no reform it’s simply removing any immigration rules to allow open, unfettered access across our border. If you can get here by whatever means by all means come in sign up to vote and get on the gravy train of of free housing, healthcare, education, food and whatever luxuries you desire. The rest of us schmucks will pay for it. Well that is if we have anything left after paying for reparations!
HR 1 is also being funded in the bill.
Infrastructure is the new, now tired, worn out commerce clause used by the SCOTUS to justify, approve or deny whatever they chose to apply it to for the last... forever.
“Political suicide.......................”
They are evil. But I kind of admire them. They know that the times they have even the slightest control of all branches are few and far between.
They also know that things like obamacare, amnesty and federalization of voting laws give them control of the country — vote once rule forever type control in the long term.
So they shove these types of revolutionary measures through with no national concensus and not even a majority in the Senate knowing they will get hammered in the next election but knowing that in the long term, they will end up with tyrannical levels of power to do with as they wish.
I wish my former party would have the same balls. They do not and never will.
