I've been looking for 45 minutes for a picture of the perp. None to be found...anywhere and each article I've browsed always throws in a statement that 'not much is known about the perp. Although there is an article outlining his activities since the 90s, but no picture.

I’m betting they both got shots off, at each other. Only rational explanation, unless there was a second shooter they don’t know about.
On a side note, and I am in absolutely not talking negatively about Hurley, but does anyone know what, We Are Change Colorado, is? Not much out there, except that they seem to be a type of journalistic, watch dog type group, that is promoting that they don’t take sides. Just curious.
Toting a pistol isn’t a Right or Left thing. I’m sure there are Democrats and Liberals that carry(maybe), but that would also seem a bit counter to their narrative.
Either way, the guy is a hero for doing what he did and making the sacrifice he made.

Reading some other stories, it seems like that John Hurley guy was a wholly decent man and someone who thought deeply about important issues in a credible, balanced way.
It also appears he may have lost his business - a food service company - last year due to the Wuhan Flu, which really adds insult to injury.
And yes, it’s very strange there are no pictures or further description of the shooter nor any clarification about who shot Hurley....which leads me to believe he was killed by police in a case of mistaken identity. I hope not.
