What is “twerk” ?
Monkeys engage in a practice called “presenting” where they’ll stick their asses up into the air and into the face of another monkey as an invitation to mate.
Twerking is a form of aboriginal tribal dancing where tribal female squat down and rapidly shake their rear end fore and aft. Not like a stripper’s grind, but more like if you were trying to shake off the last bit of defecant because you didn’t have any TP.
It is a very uncouth and unattactive movement to western eyes. I think it is a show of fertility in aboriginal tribal culture, but it is very objectionable to me, as a westerner.
American black subculture appropriated this movement many years ago in Rap videos and it has spread throughout American culture, particularly among those who are woke Leftists and the young woke brainwashed.
It is an ugly dance move stolen by modern US blacks mimicking aboriginal tribal dance.
