I’m laughing! As soon as they announced that they were going to make it a national holiday, I remembered that every year there were shootings, fights, and other assorted savage violence during and around the celebrations. My memory cannot be cancelled.
I did a google search:
juneteenth violence
and found out that google didn’t waste any time in scrubbing the results so they didn’t show the truth. google has a whole division dedicated to the “correcting” of history, much as what we read in 1984.
I also did a DuckDuckGo search, and found some of the results that google had deliberately and intentionally hidden.
So now we have a national holiday dedicated to the violent outbursts of a segment of the population that can’t restrict its reptilian brain from breaking out in a violent reaction to any slight, insult or dissing.
To assist in the democrats’ efforts to destroy this country, they are pushing to defund the police, so the June 19 partygoers will not have to fear arrest as they shoot up old ladies and babies in strollers.

I fear more of this when the full text of the white General's June 19 order is published. His full insinuations are not going to please everyone that is woke; many will wonder if imposing a holiday to honor his dog whistle is appropriate.

The George Floyd statue looks like a White guy to me. Couldn’t they have at least gotten his skin color correct?
I’ve noticed the scrubbing on several web pages that I have bookmarked in the past. Got a good web page for months, then suddenlY get “ERROR 404 PAGE NOT FOUND”.

why would ANYONE with any sense whatsoever be surprised that violence occurs where there are large numbers of blacks, it happens every day. Every MLK Day is riddled with shootings, stabbings, beatings, etc.
If it was such a big deal why didn’t they celebrate it over the last 100 years?
It has been. It has been a State Holiday in Texas for 40 years.
