Actually, in a very real way, that is just a natural shift. At the end of the day, the US is just another country. Sure, we got rich rebuilding the world after WWII, but they are rebuilt - and now competing with us. Why should an American worker get $25 an hour when someone in another country will do the same work for $6? That is literally what free trade and free enterprise is all about. It just doesn’t feel good when it gores ones particular ox.

You make a fair point. But what if that other country has workers who will do the work for $1 an hour. Then what?
It’s not like after WW II when America was competing with other countries who were free like America, but war-damaged. America is now competing with a totalitarian nation that doesn’t give a damn about freedom, worker safety, common-sense pollution controls, or anything else.
I’m all for fair competition, if the playing field is level. But it’s not.
That uneven playing field is not all China’s fault. Government over-regulation and crazy union demands have also played a part in making this mess.
I hate you. Fu—ing traitors...
You are an idiot. Let's say both workers make 100 widget per hour. Widgets cost $25 each retail.
Per widget the US worker costs .25 the 3rd worlder .06 per widget. SHOULD WE SELL OUT OUR ENTIRE INDUSTRIAL BASE FOR 19 cents per $25 retail? REALLY???? F no...
I hate immigration because most, not all, immigrants are never really died in the wool patriots. Most suck. Just being honest.
