My first thought was that they would just close the store -- but what I found from a brief internet search is that 75% of their sales are pharmacy and 25% are retail.
They can just leave the retail shelves bare.
That idiot newscaster is a libtard, and libtards naturally identify with theft. Thieves are their brothers-in-arms. So the shocking remark is no surprise.

It may well be that the retail sales are the lion’s share of their profits.
When I worked in a grocery chain I learned that the markup on groceries was tiny, their profit was in the non-food items.

When all the Walgreens, moms and pops and other stores close what are the remaining residents to do for food and services? They will starve or move to the suburbs and the homeless criminal element will come with them. If the suburbs say we will accept the destruction of our community as well then they deserve what they get. They keep voting for these utopian leftist idiots who so far have got nothing right. Will these stores hire security which will knock the shoplifters brains out at some point? Gang security?
Until the remaining civilized people get fed up and say enough and vote out the leftist this will continue. That or vigilante committees are going to start forming and they will be called white supremacist even though I will wager there would be a lot of people of color who are just as fed up and had enough on these committees.
