James Murdoch, an heir to the Fox News fortune, spent $20 million opposing Donald Trump's 2020 reelection while funneling another $100 million through a nonprofit to support leftwing political groups, according to a new report.
James and his wife, Kathryn Murdoch, have largely backed Democrats or liberal, nonpartisan causes, according to CNBC, which found the large contribution while reviewing the 2019 tax return documents of Quadrivium, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit the couple control. Quadrivium was founded in 2014.
It has been widely known that the young Murdochs backed President Joe Biden's candidacy, but the $100 million for Democrats and other PACs was not well publicized, having been funneled through Quadrivium, CNBC reported.
The Murdoch family is worth $22 billion, according to Forbes.
The family controls Fox Corp and News Corp. James' brother, Lachlan Murdoch, is CEO of Fox, the parent to Fox News.
While James' father, 90-year-old billionaire Rupert Murdoch, and brother, Lachlan, are considered staunch Republicans, James has made known to associates that upon his father’s passing he and his more liberal sisters will control the family trust, and thereby Fox News.
Earlier this year, a report in the Financial Times reported that upon gaining control, James and his sisters do not plan on selling Fox News, but will reshape it into an establishment media outlet.
More than $25 million of James and Kathryn’s funding in 2019 went toward grants, including for several political causes, such as fighting climate change and helping voter turnout.
That was not the extent of the funding for the 2020 election cycle, a source close to the family told CNBC, speaking on the condition of anonymity.

I wish everyone would quit watching Fox News. They flipped on Trump election night and by 10 pm I was gone. Calling Arizona so early but refused to call Florida..
I stopped watching ALL cable news when Romney ran against Obama. They’re giant corporations feeding us propaganda 24/7. It’s all political all the time. Can’t even really call it “news”. More like a political reality show.
Their elections “expert” was the amazing Randi of election prognostication. Right when the Arizona polls closed, he was able to call the state for Biden who went on to “win” the state by 10,000 votes or 0.4 percent margin. This same “expert” projected that Nancy Pelosi would hold the House with an expanded margin when Rs ended up gaining sixteen seats. What a wizard, I guess such an incompetent can only be hired when you’ve got a monied lowlife influencing how the network is run.

FOX became dead to me on election night. Now I flip between Americas Voice.news and OAN.
I left work early from work to watch this historic landslide. As soon as the polls started closing I turned on fox. They started immediately acting like Trump was losing and wanting people to start excepting he was going to lose. Trump is blowing the swing states and Florida away. At 2 am he is leading by numbers that were statistically impossible for biden to come back. But they kept pressing the fact the mail ins were not counted yet. They knew what was going to happen. So many were in on this and knew it was going to be stolen.

Another dynasty/heir problem. The minute one of my children swings liberal schizophrenic, I disown him or her. Not aure what is up with these billionaires who favor children who obviously are not theirs - in spirit.
I went to bed at 3:30 that night; Trump was way ahead in MI, GA, PA, WI. When I woke up at 7:30, the election had been stolen by late night dumps of so-called “mail in ballots”. Fox seemed in on it all along; Trump was ahead in Florida by 600,000 votes with fewer than that to count and the jerks still would not call it for him. Contrast that to their remarkably prescient call on Arizona, immediately after the polls closed.
I gave up all things FOX 12 months ago after a long period of steady reduction of its content in my news diet.

I went to bed after Trump came out and said they quit the counting till 7am that morning. He apparently was told the totals were in for the night. So the numbers should not have changed until the count resumed. But that’s when the cardboard went up and water leaks happened. Was the plan all along. They cheated with the machine counts all they could and still could not over take the landslide numbers. They had millions of ballots printed up and hauled them in and counted. Was so obvious. But the judges were in on it. And the states legislatures allowed them to get away with changing the laws illegally before all this happened. I can’t imagine how many promises and money was handed out over this.
I have not watched Fox News or the Left wing local Fox Channel since election night - will never watch Fox ever again.
Deport these monsters .
Or jail them for foreign anti american activities .
