New York Times board member: There needs to be conversation about 'Whiteness'. MSNBC contributor Mara Gay said Tuesday that she was "disturbed" to see "dozens of American flags" flown by Donald Trump supporters during a weekend trip to Long Island, New York. The left-wing editorial board member for The New York Times was also distressed by what she called expletives on the trucks against President Biden, describing the flag-flying Trump supporters as sending a clear message: "This is my country … not your country. I own this."

Like the story of the Princess and the Pea; if the slightest thing is perceived to be wrong by certain people who have been treated extremely well by America, then nothing is right with the country. I think of Michelle Obama, who went to Princeton and Harvard Law School, yet failed the Illinois Bar Exam (the pass rate is 90 percent, You almost have to TRY to do this), was hired by one of the Top Five law firms in Chicago, reportedly complained constantly about not being given enough ‘responsibility”, got a $ 300K plus job doing “public relations” for some city hospital, lived in the White House, had the title of First Lady and she still is not happy. Contrast that to the Vietnam warriors, who went there often at 18-19, lived in the swamps, often times did not come back or suffered disabling wounds, and never once complained. What a contrast to this sniveling, complaining, small in every way ‘celebrity”.

The first time I took my new husband (from CA) home to visit my family we landed in Buffalo. He was shocked because leaving the airport property we saw trucks with Confederate Flags, and country music blaring. We see more Confederate Flags in western NY than we ever see in TN.

Perhaps she drove through my neighborhood. Lots of flags the past two weekends. And bunch of them were flown by non-whites. Indians, whose skin color is darker than yours and Asians were proudly flying the flag.
