Jeff Bezos announced on Monday that he and his brother will join the first crewed spaceflight from his private rocket company on July 20 — just 15 days after he is set to step down as chief executive of Amazon.

"Ever since I was five years old, I’ve dreamed of traveling to space," he wrote in an Instagram post. "On July 20th, I will take that journey with my brother. The greatest adventure, with my best friend."

In May, the Amazon founder's rocket company, Blue Origin, announced that its first flight aboard its New Shepard rocket, designed to carry up to six tourists per flight, would auction off one seat to the highest bidder.

Do business with him, and he’ll rob you blind worse than any Chinese IP thief.

I've heard this. He's very tough, even ruthless, in business. But, speaking only a customer, Amazon has always been quite fair to me. That being said, I do wish Bezos were more intelligent when it came to his political views.

Good luck to Bezos, his brother and the 3rd person on this ride to the edge of space. He, Musk and other private companies doing these rockets have made NASA look slow and stodgy as to taking humans to space destinations.

Among his various heinous acts, he regularly dupes businesses into using one of hos services (AWS, Amazon.com, Amazon Fulfillment, etc.)

When anyone becomes successful, he notices, copies their entire business model, cuts prices and puts them out of business.

Everyone is just fodder for his avarice.

Evil SOB.

Whatever your views on his politics, Bezos (and his wife) had a great idea, started a company, worked hard, exploited low-paid workers and made a lot of money on their backs. I cannot respect the man and nor appreciate his achievements, even if regardless that I think his political views stink.

Fixed it.

Bezos is one of the most evil men alive. Sucks that he is the one who gets to live his dream.

Many who are first in this life will be last in the next.
