Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). One drug that has attracted interest is the antiparasitic compound ivermectin, a macrocyclic lactone derived from the bacterium Streptomyces avermitilis. We carried out a docking study to determine if ivermectin might be able to attach to the SARS-CoV-2 spike receptor-binding domain bound with ACE2. Materials and methods: We used the program AutoDock Vina Extended to perform the docking study. Results: Ivermectin docked in the region of leucine 91 of the spike and histidine 378 of the ACE2 receptor. The binding energy of ivermectin to the spike-ACE2 complex was -18 kcal/mol and binding constant was 5.8 e-08. Conclusion: The ivermectin docking we identified may interfere with the attachment of the spike to the human cell membrane. Clinical trials now underway should determine whether ivermectin is an effective treatment for SARS-Cov2 infection.

I live in Panama and found out today that Ivermectin is available OTC at our local pharmacies. But if you really want a good price, go to the pet store. They have it available, at the same dosages, for even less than at the pharmacy. Such a deal!

In April I had Covid-19. I was treated with Ivermectin, antibiotics, vit C, Zinc and inhaler. 70 year old double by-pass. Had low grade fever for 2 days, thats it
The dose per pound of the horse paste is the same as the dose per pound for humans. You are correct - for a 200 pound human (me) I get 6 treatments out of one tube.

Another reason 2 more tubes of Pony Paste got picked up today with 50 lbs of laying hen pellets and 52 lbs of dog food. TSC was sold out of the lower-priced tubes. This should keep our horses from getting the Coof.

Before I first medicated myself I reviewed 4 or 5 articles from various sources, did the math two different ways and triple-checked the numbers!
I have read that ivermectin prevents the mrna of viruses to be inactivated in the cytoplasm of the infected cells by keeping the mrna from being “read” by the protein making machinery.. I am too lazy to give you the quotation exactly...but it was in a reputable journal.
Time and testing will tell.
