Stockholm Syndrome is a psychological phenomenon where “hostages or abuse victims bond with their captors and abusers.” This bonding can occur over days, weeks, or months of captivity and abuse. Rather than being terrorized by their captors, hostages sympathize with them, developing positive feelings, sharing common goals and causes, and essentially falling in love with their captors.
The story behind the Stockholm Syndrome is a 1973 six-day hostage event in a Swedish bank. By the second day, “the hostages were on a first-name basis with their captors, and they started to fear the police more than their abductors.” By the end of the hostage crisis, “the convicts and hostages embraced, kissed and shook hands.”
A modern-day version of the Stockholm Syndrome is playing out after over a year of COVID captivity. Americans have been held hostage by medical czars like Dr Anthony Fauci, totalitarian governors named Cuomo, Newsom, Whitmer, Murphy, and Wolf, and big media, including cable news giants CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News.
Americans have been held hostage in their homes for months, told not to wear masks, then to wear one, then two, now none. We were assured that that a BLM protest of thousands is perfectly safe while a family wedding, funeral, or a Trump rally is a super spreader event. An experimental, non-FDA approved vaccine is being mandated for everyone, including children at extremely low risk from getting sick from COVID, yet at the government agencies pushing vaccinations, they don’t know how many of their own employees have said no to the vaccine, perhaps as many as half.

They aren’t scared. They are upset that everyone else doesn’t have to wear a mask. These are the people that loved the virtue signal and hated anyone who didn’t wear one.
I know some of these people. Ending the mask mandate has robbed them of their joy. First they lost Trump (the target of their rage) and now The Precious is gone. Under that mask, they are angry.
‘The People’s Republic of Dane County’ lifts their mask mandate tomorrow, BUT Wisconsin will still have pockets of little tin-pot dictators demanding you still mask up when in their enclave.
However, you gotta have your vax or you still have to mask!

Yeah. No.
The big change here came two weekends ago. That’s when Krogers and Home Depot announced they were dropping the masks for the vaccinated, which effectively means everyone. Smaller businesses seemed to see this as a signal and followed suit.
The last shoe to drop will be the ending of masks, officially, not just for the vaccinated but for everyone. This will probably depend on the CDC guidance. For political reasons I expect the CDC to cling to its recommendation for the unvaccinated to stay masked until the bitter end. Meaning the official but unenforced divide between vaccinated/unvaccinated will persist for a while longer.
Maybe vestiges of a style thing with young hipsters. I’ve only seen a couple of them wearing masks, and both were outdoors. A few others were service employees, who are required to continue wearing masks if not vaccinated. Most employees at the local Walmart are apparently vaccinated and no longer wearing masks.
On vaccinations, over 60% of the population over the age of 12 has received at least one shot; 168,356,985 people as of yesterday in the U.S.A. 85.9% of people over the age of 65 have received at least one shot.

Nationally, the case number appears to be lower than the number of hospitalizations (see bar graphs). It’s low.

I watched the INDY 500 race this weekend and was hollering at the TV at the stupid drivers and crews all running around with masks on. Doing TV interviews with masks on...speaking 4-words then tugging on the mask that always slips.
They all looked like fools...150k people in the stands and no one wore a mask.
We “play God” all the time.
Triage is “playing God.”
Still seeing people walking across a parking lot masked, driving by themselves masked, and in different regions of my state the majority in stores are either masked or unmasked.
Take a look at the research starting to come out.
What research would that be? And does it mean I have to stop wearing my sunglasses? My husband doesn’t mind and I don’t think squinting is a particularly attractive look.
Having been married for thirty years, and expecting to remain in that marriage, I have chosen not to make a big deal of her reluctance to toss the mask. However, I have made it very clear that I am not going to pretend that masks are anything more than a type of psychological manipulation, and have been from the outset of the pandemic.
The enemy has very large numbers, as we can observe in our daily lives.
Mask wearers abound.
Let the Marxists be masked so we may all observe their presence.

They are desperately clinging to the 100% masking of our school children. They TREAT SCHOOLCHILDREN LIKE HOSTAGES! That’s UNFORGIVABLE to me.
Start with my book, “All Thumbs,” which does a kind of social history of digital, but there is a lot in there about Japan’s problems and the “hermetically sealed.”
So which is the majority masked or unmasked?
“In some places, the law requires masks for the unvaxed.”
I don’t recall hearing that any legislature passed any law about masks. The mask thing isn’t a law. It’s a tool for the government to control the masses and mess with their minds.
“one of the most disappointing things I’ve seen in recent years was the astonishing number of FREEPERS who bought into the Branch Covidian B.S. from Day 1”
Absolutely. They’re on a site that has the word, “free”, in it, yet they jumped on the tyranny bandwagon. Hard to believe.
It depends what part of the state, urban areas most everyone still has them on. Recently developed suburban parts maybe a small handful still have them on.
