Yamina leader Naftali Bennett agreed to forming a coalition government with Yesh Atid head Yair Lapid, N12 reported. The two sides agreed that Bennett will serve first as prime minister until September 2023, when Lapid will take over until November 2025, according to N12. The swearing-in ceremony is expected to take place in 10 days, following an announcement of the new government either on Saturday night or Sunday.

Thanks for the education. I don’t think many of us (me included) have an instinctive understanding of the situation in Israel despite trying and I imagine most of the political parties or coalitions there are pretty hawkish towards their enemies. How could they not be?

He had a great run and left his nation better. As crazy as their system is he might be PM again in 6 months.

“Suspect he will return one day ala Chuchill for future service.”

I’m sure that he will, he’s still fairly young (and his father lived to be over 100 with his mind still very sharp).

But Bibi has definitely been screwed by an ungrateful public, just as Churchill was...and the country will suffer vs. its enemies, just as (now no longer Great) Britain did. Sad - but part of the reason that Churchill stated that Democracy was the worst form of government ever devised...except for all the rest.

I swear, it bothers and perplexes and vexes and infuriates me to no end knowing how f’ing politically stupid my co-religionists are, and it clearly doesn’t matter whether they are here or in Israel. Dumb bastards!

“It was bound to happen

Likud is not the permaparty

Israeli has a free for all parliament style

Never fear through even labor and this new outfit will respond to Pali terrorism”

Prior to 1977, Labor was the permaparty and Likud was considered the party of losers. Rabin screwed up (the last straw was making an official visit to welcome the delivery of F-15s on the Sabbath), and then Begin came in and did a very credible job...and history changed. But up to 1977, you had the clearly Left Wing Labor party going after terrorists, winning wars (though losing the peace - democracies seem to specialize in this), etc. Of course, that was then, this is now, and just like our liberals turned into radical Leftists, if not Commmunists, so the same has happened in Israel. The one difference is that ALL Israelis understand the nature of the Arab threat and their public is FAR more hawkish than ours pretty much ever was. This one fact gives me some comfort.

But what a way to thank Bibi for turning the Israeli economy into a true powerhouse and keeping Israel safe for well over a decade. Pathetic ingrates!

People whining about this would support Israel if they attacked the United States.

I like Bibi...always have pretty much though I’m not Bieber level fanboy over him...like many here...I find him charismatic though ....

I was very disappointed over his immediate response to the election

I think leftist Jews in America who do donate large to Israel ....were up his butt in a big way....validate Biden if you want our money and USA aid money to keep flowing smoothly

That’s just a guess

He could have gotten GOPe pressure as well to abandon Trump

Netanyahu is more popular here on FR than in Israel..where last election Likud got 24% of the vote

A plurality

“No its not. We’re too lazy to fight for school boards little less fight a war.”

Don’t know what you’re talking about. There are school board fights with parents going on all over the U.S. now. You must not be keeping up with the news.

I don’t like it either but Donald Trump is not the head of government for life. The US has a political process and there is nothing we can do about it. /s

Were they not allowed to be held captive three different times? Wasn’t Jerusalem burned to the ground in 73 AD or somewhere around that time and aren’t one-third of all Jews to be slaughtered - yes, I am aware that ultimately they will recognize Jesus as their Messiah and Israel will be made whole again, but chastising is kind of a mild word. I forgot about the holocaust - another chastising?

No, that will never happen again. I think you misread society and project your own emotions. I could spend 10 hours responding why it won't happen, but suffice to say, there are other remedies. The most obvious one has been written about extensively and seems the most likely, but too early to say for certain. That is certain counties and states will follow the laws they want to and ignore those laws that don't suit their sensibilities.

We are already seeing this happen with red states/counties ignoring anti 2A laws and blue states/cities ignoring laws involving race and crime amongst others. We move to the camp we prefer. It's happening at the moment. Columbia University had 7 different graduations for those that are easily triggered including a graduation ceremony for blacks only. That would have been unthinkable a few years ago.

I head yesterday they’re dropping the vaccine mandate because it failed. I wonder if this news has anything to do with the vaccine mandates?

Good point. Let’s not forget who the backstabbers are.

1. Israel doesn’t use ANY electronic voting due to fears that elections could be vulnerable to cyber threats from those trying to influence the results.

2. This “domininz” cry is getting old. Despite what Qtard bloggers have told
You, Trump cleaned up in the machine counts in 2020. In the only 14 counties in PA that use those eeeevvvviiiiilllll Dominion machines, Trump increased his raw vote today as compared to 2016 in every one of them and increased his vote share in 11 of the 14. The fraud that occurred happened with the mail in ballots, not the machines.

What does "11-6" mean? You mean Bibi turned his back after the 2020 election? Why would he do that?
