The Biden administration's top law enforcement officials on Wednesday pledged to dedicate their resources to combat domestic violent extremists amid questions over whether the agencies are equipped to monitor such threats in the wake of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
Attorney General Merrick Garland and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas appeared before the Senate Appropriations Committee for a hearing on domestic extremism as Congress ramped up its scrutiny this week of the circumstances around the attack on the Capitol.
Both Garland and Mayorkas testified that white supremacist groups pose the most serious domestic national security threat in the U.S., reinforcing what analysts have long concluded about far-right organizations.

It was prepared by organizers working for over a year on all fronts, but the media relentlessly smeared Trump supporters.
After the steal they suppressed all legal challenges to the election but knew that the country was outraged.
When Trump, still believing he’d prevail, called for a rally on Jan.6 they saw their opportunity.
Nan Pelowsy wrote or at least sketched out the screenplay:
1.Antifa provocateurs and deep state agents would collaborate to instigate or carry out vandalism and gather evidence on the targets.
2. The capital police were understaffed and instructed to comply with demonstrators after an initial show of force.
3.After the barricades were breached they were instructed to encourage people to enter and otherwise stand aside.
4. Was the execution of Ashley Babbit a deliberate provocation?
5.People in congress were expected to cower and feign terror before fleeing. There were plenty of photographers on hand to record the drama.
6.No one attempted to address the people gathered around the capital. This would have given the event legitimacy and portrayed the demonstrators as people, not animals.
I fear they mean to do much more than defang us. Their pot-stirring, or so-called activism, has to do with feeding the weeds (hatred, murderous rage) in men’s souls and then weaponizing the collective energy and using it against us to divide and conquer, and terrorize into submission (defang). If submission does not do the trick they’ll pour more fuel into the inferno they’ve ignited and use it to snuff out our lives.
