She reminds me of my mother, built like her too.. Who is past now. She actually flew a kite on Florida's beach at 68 yrs. old..she knew how to live.

She must have been a fun mama. Mine was a little redheaded firecracker who also knew how to have fun. She died at age 60 [barely]...way too young. God rest their souls.

She consistently surprised us with the things she would try at her age. She was was in her 60’s also when she died of cancer. And yes too young. We are fortunate to have had them in our life, and the influence to remember to enjoy the simple things of life.

Absolutely! I just wish I’d had more time to get to know mine adult-to-adult. I was married and a long way from home most of my grown years before she passed. Hubby was in the AF.

I hope you had lots of quality time with yours.

Happy Mother's Day and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.

How's everyone doing this morning?

He called at 7:15 and was here about 7:45.

TV installed...WOW!! It is so cool. The top of my newish desk is 5’ long and 19” deep...I really messed up on that. So I had a board cut that is 56” long and 32” deep. It is huge and I love it!!! Pretty, I don’t care. Functional is what I want. It is going to be great.

I now have an internet thingy right by my desk. We will see next week if it is an improvement.

Then the problem...I need a docking station to go with the company laptop if I want 2 monitors. Got the docking station yesterday when I went into work. The company laptop doesn’t have the proper slot to plug it in. AND my 2 monitors are not mountable. So it’s just the one monitor I’ve been using the last 14 months until I get the right docking station, and new monitors if I want them up and off the desk.

But, it was worth getting up at 7a ON A SATURDAY. But my brain is mush and I am going to bed. I’ll have to catch up in the morning. Rest well when you get there.

Did you have crowds to navigate at the lake yesterday? Weekends do seem to draw them out.

It looks like you’re getting lucky with the latest round of storms rolling through overnight. We have a rough day ahead when they roll through here.

We lucked out here. All of the storms were in Kansas. We did have fun at the lake yesterday however, the campground was really crowded so we stayed away from there. Here are all the pics.

Nice to have BIG tv to watch, isn’t it? Now to hope the internet upgrade is going to work as well as you need for work. AND to hope you can get the docking station you need. Anything and everything you can get to make your job a little easier!

A friend threw a party for her daughter who’s getting married in a couple of weeks. It started at 3:00 and we figured it wouldn’t last all that long but we were wrong about that. We got home just before midnight. Had to throw some food out for the cats and nuke a TV dinner because I hadn’t eaten since breakfast! Just a few munchies at the party. Been catching up on news since I never had a chance to turn on the computer before we left.

Mother Nature was kind enough to give us a nice day since the party was outside. We have an ugly day ahead tomorrow with a nasty storm system that’s moving this way. *sigh*

You sure did luck out. The storms are rolling through MO now and look U-G-L-Y on the radar.

It’s no wonder there was a crowd at the campground as pretty as it was there. Gizmo obviously had a grand time in the areas where you did wander around. Happy pooch!
